On behalf of the Salem Board of Health and in alignment with the North Shore Public Health Collaborative, we are writing to reaffirm that vaccines do not cause autism. On Nov. 19, 2025, inaccurate statements appeared on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website suggesting a connection between vaccines and autism. We strongly reject these claims and emphasize that they are not supported by scientific evidence.
