BOSTON — Senate Minority Leader Bruce Tarr, R-Gloucester, was recently named MassDEP Regional Legislator of the Decade by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.
At its most recent event held in the northeast region on Tuesday, Sept. 23, MassDEP Commissioner Bonnie Heiple recognized Tarr for his longstanding leadership and partnership in advancing environmental stewardship, public health protections, and sustainable policies that benefit communities across Massachusetts. The award was given as part of MassDEP’s year-long 50th anniversary celebration, which has brought together staff, legislators, and advocates from across the state.
