ANDOVER — They looked good for a while. But now the imitation-brick crosswalks around the downtown have worn in a way they’re causing safety concerns and they’re being replaced.
Marc Fournier, deputy director of public works/highway for the town, said asphalt combined with the brick look-alike covering has not been as smooth a design as officials had hoped.
