As New Hampshire’s lone member of death row renews an attempt to overturn his death sentence at the New Hampshire Supreme Court, the American Civil Liberties Union is jumping in to help.
In a “friend-of-the-court” brief filed Oct. 30, lawyers for the state and national ACLU argue that Michael Addison’s death sentence was affected by racial bias, given that similar murders in the state committed by white people resulted in life imprisonments.
