METHUEN — The case against Robert LeBlanc, a former town manager and prominent lawyer accused of child rape, appeared at risk of collapsing before a judge Thursday.
In a hearing to dismiss, Superior Court Judge Kristen Buxton said the state’s most recent filing had failed to address LeBlanc’s claim that due to the length of time between the alleged crime and prosecution, “corroborating evidence” should have been required to get the case past a grand jury let along bring it to trial.
