BOSTON — A former traveling nurse who surrendered her license in New Hampshire but then went to work at nursing and rehab facilities in Massachusetts was sent to federal prison for tampering with morphine, authorities said.

Loralie LaBroad, 55, of Hampton, New Hampshire, was sentenced to three months in federal prison followed by two years of supervised release. During those two years “she is prohibited from practicing as a registered nurse or any other work with access to prescription medication or other controlled substances,” according to a statement from U.S. Attorney Leah Foley.
