Lawrence man sentenced to 15 to 18 years in state prison for child rape convictions

SALEM, Mass. — A Lawrence man was sentenced to 15 to 18 years in state prison after a jury found him guilty of 11 criminal counts associated with child rape.
Edwin Rosario Soto, 34, was found guilty of five counts of rape of a child by force, five counts of rape of a child by force aggravated by age difference, and one count of indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14 after a trial in Salem Superior Court, according to court records.
