HAVERHILL — Senior citizens, disabled veterans and business owners will see some tax relief starting in 2026 after the City Council passed three exemption orders on Tuesday.
The vote upped the personal property exemption threshold for small businesses, boosted breaks for elderly residents (70 and older), widows/widowers, the blind, and disabled veterans, and allowed a representative to do volunteer work on behalf of veterans in exchange for a tax reduction.
