METHUEN — A handful of upcoming green projects at the high school and North End Fire Station, primarily funded by the state and utility companies, are projected to save the city near $70,000 annually.
The majority of the savings, about $54,000, will come from a revamp of heating and system controls at the high school to replace the old manual system with an automatic set of controls, Environmental Planner Joe Cosgrove said.Â
