SALEM – A Lawrence man was sentenced to 10 years in state prison after pleading guilty to armed assault to murder and firearms charges leveled after a 2023 shooting at Common and Newbury streets in the city.
Eddie Perez, 29, was charged after multiple rounds were fired at three people in an early morning incident on Oct. 14, 2023. The intended targets “feared for their lives,” Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker said.
